Call for Papers
We welcome applications for fifteen minute work in progress papers and three minute thesis
presentations on periodicals, history and change from any time period, context, or culture.
The papers will feature as part of the event schedule on the 06.12.2024
Areas of focus might include:

How periodicals change – within and across publications and periods.

How periodicals respond to and attempt to affect historical change.
-
How texts change between and within periodical formats.
-
Changing patterns in periodical production and consumption, circulation and readership.

Applicants are encouraged to consider methodological issues and comparative facets of their work
in order to look beyond the individual case study.

Summary of delegate’s doctoral research (150 words). If this is not primarily focussed on
periodicals, please focus on the place of print culture within the thesis. -
Which format(s) you would be happy to present (fifteen minute work in progress paper and/
or three minute thesis, if both please indicate your preferred format). -
Abstract (if interested in presenting a work in progress paper, 250 words).
